Transfer DB Kei’Trel Clark Gets NCAA Waiver, Eligible Immediately

Kei’Trel Clark won’t have to sit out this season for Louisville Football. The transfer DB from Liberty was granted a waiver and will be on the field for the Cards in 2020.

Clark originally transferred from Liberty due to issues with the university’s leadership over the ongoing protests for racial justice and equality. He was one of 3 players that decided to leave due to the disagreement with Liberty on this issue.

Last season, Clark was one of Liberty’s best CBs. In 13 games, he recorded 38 total tackles, 3 tackles for loss, a sack, 6 passes defensed, and 6 passes broken up. Clark was second in passes defensed and passes broken up on Liberty’s team.

Clark will provide experience, depth, leadership, and talent to the team and position group. It’s likely he will push for a starting spot at the CB position opposite Chandler Jones. Even if he doesn’t secure it, I predict he will play a ton of snaps and be a big contributor for Louisville this season. This welcome news for Louisville Football, Louisville fans, and especially Kei’Trel Clark.
