Preview: Seton Hall at Louisville

The Louisville Cardinals will look to pick up a win over their first power conference opponent of the season as Seton Hall comes to town for an Friday afternoon matchup.

Probable Lineups:

Time: 4:00 p.m.

Line: Louisville -6.0

Seton Hall probably had its best regular season under Kevin Willard a year ago. The Pirates finished 21-9 overall and were part of a three way tie atop the Big East. Similarly to Louisville, they have plenty of production to replace in 2021. Myles Powell was one of the best players in all of college basketball and you should expect Seton Hall to drop off a bit without him. There is still some experience on that team though, and Louisville is in for a tough day at the Yum! Center.

After seeing the Cards play on Wednesday, I feel a bit more confident about this one. They looked a little rusty at first but really played well together for most of the night. Seton Hall has only had a handful of practices this past month due to the virus and this is their season opener. We are going to learn a lot about this Louisville team today. I expect the Cards to come away with a close win.

Prediction: Louisville 69  Seton Hall 65
