FlyVille21 Position Breakdown: Tight Ends

Louisville Football is 3 days out from the early signing day. The Cards are set to sign 22 recruits in the 2021 class, a class full of talent offensively and defensively. CSZ is going to be bringing you position breakdowns each day leading up to signing day.

Today, we bring you the Tight Ends that are a part of FlyVille21.

Christian Pedersen:

  • Rating: 3 Star
  • Position: TE
  • Height: 6’5
  • Weight: 235 ILBs
  • High School: Junipero Serra
  • Hometown: San Mateo, CA
  • National Rank: #1027 Player in Country
  • Position Rank: #43 TE in Country
  • Considered: Virginia, San Diego St, Boise St, Nevada, Kansas, and Colorado St
  • Twitter: @ChristianPed87

CSZ Breakdown: Pedersen is pratically the perfect TE for what Satterfield wants to do in his offensive scheme. He can line up in the backfield and play some FB, he can line up on the line of scrimmage and hold his own against most DEs and OLBs, and most importantly he’s fluid with his ability to get up field and get open. Not only is he a threat in the end zone because of his size but he’s also able to effectively run routes and find the soft spot in coverages. He projects to be an impact player for multiple seasons in my opinion.

Commitment Story: Cards Fly West To Add Big Time Tight End Christian Pedersen To The Fly Ville 21 Class

Louisville Comparison: Our comparison for Pedersen would have to be Gary Barnidge. Both are built very similar and both have very similar strengths. Barnidge was a big time receiving threat during his time here and was no slouch when it came to blocking either. And, just like Barnidge, we could easily see Pedersen being the type of player at the TE position capable of putting together multiple seasons with 500+ yards and 4+ TDs.

Victor Mullen:

  • Rating: 3 Star
  • Position: TE
  • Height: 6’6
  • Weight: 230lbs
  • High School: Marquette High School
  • Hometown: Ottawa, IL
  • National Rank: #788 Player in Nation
  • Position Rank: #39 TE in Nation
  • Considered: App State, Iowa State, Syracuse
  • Twitter: @VicMullen

CSZ Breakdown: He is unique with his 6’6 height and long arms. Mullen is a dual-threat TE because he’s a weapon in the passing game and he’s an excellent blocker, especially in the run game. His potential is through the roof due to his physical gifts.

Commitment Story: Louisville Football Adds 3 Star TE Victor Mullen To 2021 Class

Louisville Comparison: Victor Mullen reminds us of current cardinal Ean Pfiefer. He has the size and big catch ability that Satterfield wants for this offense. Victor goes up and pin points the ball just like Pfiefer. He also knows how to be excellent blocker just like an offensive lineman in running situations.
