We all know that there are two things that are for certain. I’d like to add a third, Dana Evans improving is also a certainty. Even a year filled with uncertainty, covid protocols, postponed games, and make up games, Dana Evans puts her best foot forward night in and night out. Tonight is senior night for our lone senior, Dana Evans. Although she’d probably prefer not to share this night alone, she deserves all the spotlight this night comes with and a whole lot more.
Every year Dana Evans has put on a UofL WBB uniform, she’s improved from the year before. Dana has improved her field goal percentage, free throw percentage, rebounds per game, assists per game, minutes per game, and points per game each season all while taking on a bigger leadership role.
As a freshman, Dana played in 39 games and started only 1 game. She had a season high 14 points at Air Force. As a freshman she also had her career high 10 assists in the rivalry game at uk, which was also her first career double-double. Dana averaged 5.1 ppg and 3.4 apg.

Dana Evans has been named to multiple preseason awards: ACC POY, First Team All-ACC, Associated Press All-American, Drysdale Award watch list, Wooden Award watch list, and Naismith Trophy watch list. So far this year Dana Evans has not disappointed.
We’ve seen a lot of greats play for Louisville over the years and Dana Evans is definitely one of the greats. Right now, Dana sits at #11 on Louisville Women’s Basketball’s scoring leaderboard. If she never plays another game for Louisville, she’ll still be considered one of the best, if not, the best clutch players in program history. Here is hoping that she has a least 13 games left to play in a Cards uniform.
