Carlik Goes Pro

What a lot of us already assumed was confirmed this morning by Shannon Russell of the Courier Journal. Carlik Jones will sign with an agent and go pro. Carlik had already announced a few weeks ago that he would test the waters and odds are that he liked what he heard. Local media weren’t even able to confirm for certain. You had some people saying he was definitely coming back. You also had people saying that he was definitely leaving. I asked a few of his current and former teammates that are close with him and they said that he still didn’t know. I could not even confirm on this one because nobody knew. So it was definitely confusing for fans and media.

Carlik leaves Louisville averaging 16.8 points per game, 4.9 rebounds per game, and 4.5 assists per game making him one of the most dynamic players Louisville has ever had. His numbers show how hard this young man worked. We at CSZ wish him the very best of luck in his next step and thank him for his contributions to the University of Louisville Basketball program!
