Louisville starting QB Malik Cunningham has been named to the watch list for the Maxwell Award. The award is given annually to college football’s best all-around player as voted on by a panel of sports writers, sportscasters, college head coaches, and members of the Maxwell Club. This is the second preseason in a row that Cunningham has been on the Maxwell Award watch list.
Cunningham is coming off a season in which he rushed for 609 yards and 7 TDs and completed 195 passes for 2617 yards and 20 TDs. He averaged 238 yards a game passing and 55 yards a game rushing.
