Carlik Jones Signed UDFA Deal With The Dallas Mavericks

Former Louisville PG Carlik Jones has found an NBA home. While he did not get drafted, Jones was almost immediately snatched up by the Dallas Mavericks per ESPN’s Andrian “Woj” Wojnarowski.

Jones should fit in very nicely with the Mavericks, providing a scoring punch off the bench. He’s a great scorer as we Louisville fans witnessed last season. Jones averaged 16.8 ppg in his one year as a Card. However, he’s not just a scorer. Jones gave the Cards 4.9 rpg and 4.5 apg. Something else Jones brings is experience. While some may have considered his age a detriment, Jones has played high-level college athletics for a long time. This should give him a legitimate shot at not only making the roster, but being able to contribute immediately off the bench.

Congrats to new Maverick and Cardinal Forever Carlik Jones for realizing his dream of becoming an NBA player.
