CSZ Staff Predictions: Louisville vs UCF

Jeremy Wahman

(1-1)

UCF 36 – Louisville 28

I’m only predicting this to jinx them. This week will be the game that we either pull it together or implode. I think the defense will continue to gradually improve. Malik has to improve with basic QB things like wide open receivers. It can be done. If so then I think it’s Cards by a TD instead. So I change my pick. Cards for the win.

Jeff Nunn

(2-0)

UCF 38 – Louisville 28

I want this to be the game the Cards put it all together but until I see it, or something close, I can’t predict a victory. I would love for my prediction to be wrong. Go Cards!

Higgy

(1-1)

Louisville 31 – UCF 28

Cards offense comes on late & defense has big stops in 4th help the cards win.

Ben Gumbel

(2-0)

UCF 38 -Louisville 23

We have not seen anything yet from this Louisville team to indicate that it is good enough to beat Central Florida. Win or not on Friday, I’ll be looking for any sign that the Cards are better than what they have showed us over the past two weeks. Until then, I can’t honestly pick them to win this game.

Dalton Pence

(2-0)

UCF 41 – Louisville 24

I have substantial concerns surrounding the Cardinal offense in the first half. Although not setting the world on fire, I believe the Knights’ offense will be too much to handle throughout the course of the evening.

Shawn Barbour

(1-1)

UCF 35 – Louisville 27

Louisville offense moves ball finally but have red zone troubles. UCF is able to score most of their points in late 3rd and early 4th quarters, wearing down UofL’s defense with their pace of play. Cards will show strides, but not enough to overcome Knights.

Katie Goben

(2-0)

UCF 28 – Louisville 10

UofL comes out more energetic but Rome wasn’t built in a day so the same issues present themselves by half time.

Mitch Motley

(2-0)

UCF 37 – Louisville 24.

Remember fans, no matter how bad things are. Don’t tweet anything negative at the players.

Jacob Pratt

(1-1)

Louisville 28 – UCF 27

Defense continues to improve and despite the low score, the offense looks the best it has to this point (Malik with 3 TDs). Extremely close game however, and it could go either way.

Sam Basden

(2-0)

UCF Wins

At the beginning of the season, I thought this game could go either way. However, I didn’t expect Louisville to look like this. In Satterfield’s first year at the helm, I had a good omen before every win. I didn’t see those omens at all last year. On Wednesday, that good omen was front in center. I’m still not sold on coach Satterfield at this point, UFC wins a close one.
