Coach Satterfield and the Cards talk to the media after the Cards 31-23 victory over FSU in Tallahassee. It was a tale a two halves as the Cards pretty much did whatever they wanted offensively in the first half, but struggled mightily to move the chains in the second half. However, the defense made plays when it counted and sealed the victory with another interception; this time by All-ACC hopeful Kei’Trel Clark.
Malik Cunningham had a very good game, throwing for 264 yards and 2 TDs. He also led the Cards in rushing with 56 yards and 2 scores on the ground. Tyler Harrell had a good game with 2 receptions for 63 yards and 1 TD. Jordan Watkins had 61 yards and caught Cunningham’s other TD pass. Marshon Ford had another good game with 6 receptions for 52 yards.

Defensively, Yasir Abdullah was a terror all game for the FSU offense. He had 8 tackles, 2 sacks, and 3.5 tackles for loss. He was arguably the defensive MVP for the game. Louisville native Jack Fagot led the team with 10 total tackles and added 2 tackles for loss. Kei’Trel Clark had 6 total tackles, 2 passes he broke up, and of course the game-winning interception.
The Cards are back on the road next week to face a very good Wake Forest squad. That game will kick off at 12:30 pm October 2nd.
