The 2021-2022 Louisville men’s basketball season is about to tip off. The Cards enter the season with a new-look coaching staff, a new-look offense, and expectations to make the field of 64 and win some tournament games. With that being said, each home game at the KFC Yum! Center this season will have a special theme. Whether it be a food drive, a toy drive for Cardinal Forever Kyle Kuric’s “Kyle’s Korner for Kids” charity, or a fan appreciation game, there will be numerous themed games this season.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – With the University of Louisville’s men’s basketball season set to open next week, Theme Games have been set for each of the Cardinals’ home games in the KFC Yum! Center this season.
Special events celebrating students, kids, season ticket holders, community service and more are included in the planned promotions for the Cardinals this season. The list below identifies each game with the specific theme.
SOUTHERN (Tue, 11/9 @ 9:00 PM)
Season Opener
Don’t miss your first chance to catch Team 108 in regular season action. Early arriving fans will have the chance to grab a 2021-22 schedule poster.
FURMAN (Fri, 11/12 @ 7:00 PM)
Ville’ns Appreciation Night
Louisville Basketball celebrates the Vill’en’s – the official student section of the Cards – with a pregame student tailgate, t-shirt giveaway, and more.
NAVY (Mon, 11/15 @ 8:00 PM)
Kroger Food Drive
Bring non-perishable food items and hygiene products to take part in a food drive, hosted by Kroger. All food will be donated to the Commonwealth Credit Union Cardinal Cupboard.
DETROIT MERCY (Sat, 11/20 @ 2:00 PM)
Teddy Bear Toss
Fans are invited to bring new or gently used teddy bears to toss onto the court during halftime for donations to local children during the upcoming holiday season.
DEPAUL (Fri, 12/10 @ 8:00 PM)
Cancer Awareness Night
In support of Jaxen’s Journey – the charity remembering UofL strength and conditioning coach Andy Kettler’s son Jaxen, who lost his life to brain cancer at the age of two in July 2016 – the Cards will look to raise awareness and funds to benefit cancer research.
SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA (Tue, 12/14 @ 6:00 PM)
Holidays with the Cards & “Kyle’s Korner for Kids” Toy Drive
Celebrate the holiday season with themed promotions and bring now toys for donation to North Children’s and Home of the Innocents. The toy drive is associated UofL Athletics’ CardsCARE program and Kyle’s Korner for Kids, the community outreach established in 2011 by former Cards’ forward Kyle Kuric while a UofL student.
