If you were not inside Cardinal Stadium on Saturday afternoon, you missed a good one. The whole first half was electric as the Cards put up 35 and the anticipation of waiting on Lamar to come out of the tunnel was felt by every person in the stadium. And when he finally walked out, the place went crazy. Lamar spent the last few minutes of the first half on the sideline talking to, shaking hands and taking selfies with fans in the stands. It was a joy to watch a superstar be so humble. The ceremony was pretty amazing and Lamar was moved emotionally when they unveiled his name and number that will forever be inside the stadium.
On the field, the Cards secured a 41 to 3 victory over poor Syracuse who always seems to be on the wrong end when it comes to Lamar. The defense was outstanding only giving up 3 points.
