On Saturday night the Cards swept Ball State to advance to the Sweet Sixteen in the 2021 NCAA Tournament. The Cards came out in the first set and looked slightly off, but finally settled in and took care of business, winning that first set 29 – 27. The Cards were dialed in from that point forward, winning the next two sets 25-11 and 25-19. Win or lose, it was the last match at L&N Federal Credit Union for the seniors so emotions were high.
Up next, the Cardinals take on the No. 16 seed Florida Gators as UofL hosts the regional rounds of the NCAA Tournament next week at Freedom Hall. The Cards will play on Thursday with time TBA.
