Return of the Keg of Nails. Kickoff is at 11 am EST. #Bearcats
The Fenway Bowl is sponsored by Wasabi Technologies. While the initial game was set to take place during the 2020-2021 bowl season, but Covid forced the inaugural game to move to 2021-2022 season. However, last year’s game between Virginia and SMU had to be canceled due to Covid issues in Virginia’s program. So, the Cards will be playing in the official inaugural game.
Louisville enters the game with a 7-5 record and one of the best defenses in the country. Meanwhile, after making the playoff last season, Cincinnati will enter with an interim coach after Luke Fickell has taken the head coaching position at Wisconsin. CB Coach and Special Teams Coach Kerry Coombs will be the interim coach in the bowl game. The Bearcats enter the game 9-3.
The Keg of Nails rivalry will be renewed for one game. It will be interesting to see if the Keg is brought and if the winner will receive it. Mark your calendars for December 17th at 11 am EST. The game will air on ESPN.
