Jeff Brohm has done it again. Xavier Porter, a 4 star defensive end in the 2024 class, has committed to the University of Louisville. Rivals ranks the Tampa, Florida native as the 23rd best defensive end prospect nationally, and the 56th best prospect regardless of position in the state of Florida.
Prior to his commitment, Porter had cut his list to a final 3 of Louisville, Penn State, and Kansas. He also held offers from Auburn, Cincinnati, Florida State, Kentucky, Michigan, NC State, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Wisconsin among many others.
When talking with On3’s Chad Simmons, Porter said “My feeling when I got back from Louisville was just different. I have known for a couple of weeks that Louisville was the school I wanted to go to.”
As a junior playing for Tampa Catholic, Porter collected 50 tackles, with 2 Sacks, leading the defense to a 9-2 record.
