CSZ Staff Predictions: Louisville Vs Georgia Tech

Jeremy Wahman

Louisville 34GT  24

It’s kinda hard to predict this game because it’s the first game of our coaches tenure & there are so many new pieces. However I do believe in the team & the hype. Give me Louisville.

Tech seems to be a team on the rise and they added some nice pieces in the transfer portal including former 4 star recruit and Texas A&M QB, Haynes King, as well as our guy Trevion Cooley in the backfield. We all know Cooley is a beast and I wish he was still in the Ville but things happen and now the Cards must stop him from running wild. Tech finished 12th in the ACC last season in total defense and they gave up about 190 rushing yards per game. Their pass rush isn’t very effective either. I feel like it will be a really good time in Atlanta for Labor Day weekend. See ya in the A T L

Jeff Brohm has HUGE coming out party. Jack Plummer looks like he’s been here for a while & Thrash shows us how he can be All-ACC! Defense also looks really good as well!

I think out of the gate Georgia Tech comes out trying to shock and awe the Cards and takes an early lead. Once UofL settles in, they roll and get back ups some valuable playing time in the 4th quarter. Jawhar Jordan likely the star of the game as I predict he will have over 170 all-purpose yards. Brohm Era begins with a bang and not a thud.

Cody Montgomery

Louisville 38GT 17

I’m predicting the Offense to light up Mercedes Benz Stadium. I’m expecting Jack Plummer to turn some heads and confirm to everyone else why Jeff Brohm has so much confidence in him. I’m also going to predict that the speedy running back tandem of Jawhar and Mo Turner has a big game. With so much focus going on the passing attack, the speed will play well out of the backfield against a GT front 7 that game up 189 rushing yards per game, and 4.5 yards per carry last season. Georgia Tech lost a lot of their defensive playmakers. Defensive captain Charlie Thomas being the most significant loss in my opinion, as the GT do it all linebacker recorded over 100 tackles, while also creating multiple turnovers for the GT defense. Brohm and company will test GT’s ability to replace the linebacker’s production early and often.

Let the Brohm Era begin. Cards start the season off 1-0 with an impressive victory over GT in Atlanta. Cards win 45-24. The Louisville defense will show why this team will be one of the best in the ACC this year and for years to come. Coach Brohm and his offense show off their new and exciting style of offense, as they run and throw the ball all over the field in the win. Cards are also 1-0 in conference play.

Blake McCauley

Louisville 31GT 21

The Brohm Era gets off to a hot start and the offense shows it’s explosiveness. Thrash gets in the endzone and Jaw’s goes for 100+ yards. Big day in store for the Cards!

I would love for this to be a blowout, but in Brohm’s first game I’ll take a win in any fashion.
