#7 Volleyball (24-4):
The Cardinals finished the 2023 Regular Season with 3-1 Victory over #12 Georgia Tech. Outside hitter Anna DeBeer had 18 kills, 15 digs, three aces, and a block. The Cardinals fell behind with Georgia Tech taking 1st Set then Cardinals went on the defense and took the next 3 sets by scores of 26-24, 25-18, 29-27. The Cardinals with the victory finished 3rd in ACC behind Pittsburgh and Florida State. Next for the Cardinals was to find out their NCAA Tournament Fate. But first they would find out what Cardinals took home ACC Honors.
Senior Anna DeBeer shared ACC Player of the Year honors with Audrey Koenig of Florida State while junior libero Elena Scott was named the ACC Defensive Player of the Year. DeBeer and Scott were also joined by Charitie Lauper on the ACC’s First Team. Aiko Jones, Elle Glock, & Cara Cresse were named to 2nd team All ACC.

#14 Football (10-2):
The Cardinals faced the Blue School to the East (Kentucky) in the Battle of Commonwealth. The Cardinals had 10 point lead in 3rd Quarter to fall 38-31. Check out Sam’s Full Recap of the game.

#19 Womens’ Basketball (6-1):
The Cardinals competed in Betty Chancellor Classic over Thanksgiving Holiday. They started the Classic with a defeat falling to Alabama 78-73 on Friday. Then the Cardinals bounced back with victories over Liberty 72-63 & Gonzaga 81-70. Kiki Jefferson & Nina Richards both were named to All Betty Chancellor Classic Tournament Team. It is the first in-season tournament title for the Cardinals since the 2019 Paradise Jam in the Virgin Islands.

Mens’ Basketball (3-3):
The Cardinals returned home after competing in Empire Classic. New Mexico State Aggies came to the KFC Yum Center to face the Cardinals. Louisville had three players score 20 or more points for the first time since 2014. Skyy Clark had 29pts, Tre White had 22pts, & JJ Traynor had 20pts. The Cards’ made 36 free throw attempts and attempted 49 were both the most since Nov. 8, 2018, against Nicholls.
