FlyVille24 Adds Another WR Ja’Corey Brooks

On Friday Evening, Louisville Cardinals & Coach Jeff Brohm added a HUGE Addition to Wide Receiver Room with the Commitment of Alabama Transfer Ja’ Corey Brooks. Ja’Corey has 2 years of eligibility left.

Ja’Corey Brooks entered the transfer portal on December 7th, 2023 after 3 years in Nick Saban’s offense. Brooks played in 36 games over his 3 year career in Alabama. Ja’ Corey accumulated 57 catches for 896 yards and 10 touchdowns. Brooks’ sophomore season was by far his best season with the Crimson Tide, as he totaled 674 yards and 8 touchdowns on 39 catches in 13 games. Brooks’ junior year was impacted by a talented receiver room and an injury later on in the year.

The former high school basketball and track star has WR1 capabilities. Brooks is very athletic, and uses his foot speed to out leverage defensive players to give his quarterback a big target. Ja’Corey isn’t the best route runner, but he has a knack for creating separation at the top of the route to make big plays and shield off defenders at the same time.

Ja’Corey has the ability to go up and get any pass thrown his way, the young tracks the ball extremely well in the air and uses his strong hands to snatch the football out of the air and secure it close to his body.

The young man is electric in the open field. Brooks returned his share of punts and kicks while at Alabama. With his experience on kick returns, Brooks has excellent vision and can maneuver his way through defenses to make big plays. Brooks isn’t the fastest, but has enough speed to break away from defenders when he gets going. He is deceptively fast for a 6’2 guy, he can take a short 5 yard pass or a screen pass the distance if defenders take the wrong angle.

Here is some highlights of Ja’Corey during his time with Alabama.
