Rooths is a matchup concern for opposing defenses; with his 6-8 205 frame, he’s able to overpower guards when being defended by them and has a quick first step to burst past if matched up against a bigger defender.
Coming out of the prestigious IMG academy, Rooths will have the physical maturity and IQ needed to play in the ACC.

Though the consistency of his jumper is still building, Khani’s relentless defensive ability one-through-four will be what helps him make an instant impact for Kelsey & Co. He moves well laterally and embraces the energy needed to be a lockdown defender.
Khani Rooths becomes the first freshman to join the Cardinals class. Other new-comers include :
Sophomores – Koren Johnson, James Scott
Seniors – Chucky Hepburn, Terrence Edwards Jr., Reyne Smith, J’Vonne Hadley, Aly Khalifa (redshirt), Kobe Rodgers (redshirt), Aidan McCool (walk-on).
