Cardinals Land Transfer Kasean Pryor

Pat Kesley has landed a major commitment to the front court for his inaugural season with the Cards in USF transfer forward/center Kasean Pryor.

After beginning his career at Boise State and a stint in JUCO for his sophomore year, Kasean started 21 of the 32 games in his junior season as a Bull, averaging 13 points (44.7 FG%, 35.2 3PT%), 7.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.2 steals per game.

The Chicago product took a step up in AAC play, putting up 14.7 points (46.2 FG%, 40.3 3PT%), 8.2 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.2 steals per conference game.

Pryor’s aberrant game for his size is a massive addition for the Cardinals. At 6-10, 210 pounds, He moves with great fluidity where he can iso his defender or score inside while having the ability to guard both the interior and perimeter on the defensive end.

Simply put, Kasean Pryor is a DAWG; you know exactly what you’re getting with him on the court. He can score from all three levels and brings great effort, energy, confidence, and communication to the floor.

Kasean plays with the same killer mentality that now fellow teammates Terrence Edwards Jr. and J’Vonne Hadley play with; they will compete to the highest degree and set the physicality/energy level every game.

To start off USF’s fifteen game win-streak, Pryor showed-out against Rice, racking up 29 points (7-14 FG) (15-16 FT), 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 5 blocks, and 5 steals!

He had six games of 20 or more points in the historic one-season turnaround for the USF Bulls and coach Amir Abdur-Rahim.

Kasean Pryor comes to the Cardinals as a senior but still has his COVID year of eligibility. He joins fellow seniors Chucky Hepburn, Reyne Smith, J’Vonne Hadley, Aboubacar Traore, and Terrence Edwards Jr.

Koren Johnson has more than one year of eligibility left along with Pryor, being possible foundational pieces for the 2025-26 roster along with redshirt seniors Aly Khalifa and Kobe Rodgers.

Three scholarships remain for coach Kelsey and his staff to use for the upcoming season.
