Louisville Football Season Preview: Games You Are Excited For

Today we will talk about which games you are most excited for this season! We asked Twitter for their opinions too!

Which games you are most excited for this season?

I am gonna give you my top 3:

Before that, don’t forget to catch the CSZ podcast tonight at 10:05, Sunday at 1pm and a special double shot on 939 tonight at 7pm where I join Cory B for an hour & and then the CSZ preview pod at midnight! then join Dalton directly after that at 2am!

1) Clemson: Not a lot to say here. Lamar couldn’t beat them, Malik couldn’t beat them & Reggie couldn’t beat them. There have been close games, there have been some not close games. It has not been a fun rivalry.

I do think this is the season that streak ends.

I cannot put a highlight reel or full game victory video here so instead I will post a clip of Joe Hendry’s Entrance video to cheer you up,

(Go to TNA Emergence tonight & the TNA tapings tomorrow night in Louisville at Paristown hall)

2) Notre Dame:

Growing up, I spent a lot of time in South Bend. My Grandparents on my Dad’s side lived there. There was nothing like them getting hyped up for ND game days. A lot of my Dad’s side lived up there. My family has had season tickets to ND for 70 years. The first time we played up there I went and sat in their seats. They weren’t happy we won. I like to think me sitting in their seats reversed the Luck of the Irish & turned luck our way that night. The Cards have played up there 2 other times before this season. The one I just mentioned and a 12-7 barn-burner back in 2020. The Cards are 2-2 vs ND. The lone loss here was the meltdown in the 2nd half that led to them winning. The lone win here was the magical evening Quincy Riley & Jack Plummer put us back on the map in a 33-20 route that really wasn’t as close as it looks. The Cards have played well in South Bend and I expect no less this year.

3) Miami:

You don’t have to go back too far to find the last time the Cards took care of the Canes. The Field General Jack Plummer managed this game to perfection as the Cards went to Miami and made that our summer home 38-31. It was our first win at Miami in the series history and brought our record to 1-4 there since 1983. This was the rivalry I was looking forward to the most when joining the ACC along with FSU. The Cards have had memorable wins vs Miami in the series ( The Cantwell game, Teddy bowl game & first game in the ACC to name a few) & became the first team in modern top 25 era to lose to ranked Miami and jump spots the next week. Bowl win, check. Home wins, check. Away wins, check.

This one secured our first selection to the ACC title game:

Dishonorable Mention: Uof*

The thing that bothers me the most about this team is that they got a false sense of relevancy. Ok you have beat us a few times with subpar coaching & last year with a sanctioned team (According to the records they didn’t) but the times are a changing. Ironically, Cummings will be the deciding factor in that game & we will put the mildcats back in their place. At the bottom.

Hope you have enjoyed these previews! Go Cards, beat the Peay!
