Travelstead Honored as One of the Lou Groza Stars of the Week

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville kicker Brock Travelstead
was honored by the Palm Beach County Sports Commission Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award presented by the Orange Bowl, as he was recognized as one of their three “Stars of the Week” after his performance in Louisville’s 33-21 win over No. 11 Clemson
on Saturday.

Travelstead went 4-of-5 on field goal attempts and tied school records for field goals made in a game with four and field goals made in a quarter with three, hitting from 21, 42 and 49 yards, all three coming in the third quarter.

 
The senior placekicker is the only Louisville kicker to make four field goals three times in his career and the only one to make three field goals in a quarter twice in his career.
 
The native of Actworth, Ga., has made 30 career field goals at Louisville, which ranks ninth all-time in school history.
