Chucky scored a phenomenal 37 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists & 2 steals, TE2 had 23 points and 7 rebounds as the Cards Boomed Pitt in the last 10 minutes to cover the spread and win by 11. The cardinals got their 16th conference victory of the season which tied the school record in a season (2009 Big East). Chucky & Te2 combined for 60 of the 79 points. The Cards got out-rebounded & turned the ball over a lot. It is believed that the Cards are still getting better from dealing with the illness that’s been going on this week within the program. Chucky scored his 37 on 11 fga going 6-6 from the three and 13-17 from the stripe.
The Cards went up early but could not put Pitt away the first 38 minutes of the game. Cards would build a lead & Pitt would claw back. They would even go up a few times. Pitts largest lead however was only 3 points though. The refs sucked badly and we didn’t help ourselves being so sloppy but tough teams win but great teams find a way to win even when they are sick. The Cards play Cal at home at 9pm Wednesday on the ACC Network.
