Louisville’s ACC title and College Football Playoff hopes took a hit after Saturday’s 30-27 overtime loss to Virginia. Despite the setback, the Cardinals remain 4-1 and on pace for a fifth straight bowl appearance under Jeff Brohm.

Cards Nation had high hopes for a visit to Charlotte this football season. Unfortunately, as it stands now, that trip is way more likely to happen in January for the Duke’s Mayo Bowl than in December for the ACC Championship.
Louisville has bowled in Charlotte twice, both times in the Belk Bowl. The Cardinals lost to N.C. State 31-24 in 2011 and to Georgia 37-14 four years later.
Caesars Kentucky Sportsbook has +900 odds on Louisville to win the ACC as of Oct. 6.
