Small hands, skinny knees, small body frame, a bad pro day. None of those things would stop Teddy Bridgewater from having a remarkable game on Sunday for the Minnesota Vikings in his first start against the Atlanta Falcons. After all of the criticism that Teddy took in the off-season about those goofy things that I mentioned,…
The new polls came out on Sunday for the college football season. The Louisville Cardinals still are not ranked, but find themselves in a better spot than last week by moving up in the “others receiving votes” category. We knew a win at home over Wake Forest wouldn’t vault the Cards into the top 25,…

Here are a couple videos from the ACC Digital Network. The first is highlights from the game, and the second is the awesome run by Brandon Radcliff, which was actually the offensive line just moving him forward and forward! I have never seen a pile move like that. You usually see the whistle blow before…
It wasn’t the prettiest of games, but it was a win. Here are three quick observations from the game yesterday. The defense had another great game Some things are obvious, but it has to be said. This defense picked up the slack for the offense once again this game. Gerod Holliman continues to impress as…
When the Cards take the field on Saturday against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, they will be facing a freshman quarterback. In fact, it will be the third time this season that the quarterback facing the defense for the Cards will be a freshman. The other two games were Miami and Florida International. The starter…
Wake Forest (2-2) had their weekly press conference on Tuesday to preview the Cards. Head coach Dave Clawson, wide receiver Matt James, and cornerback Kevin Johnson spoke. Below are the transcripts of what each of them said as well as links to the video on the Wake Forest site. Head Coach Dave Clawson Video of…
Bobby Petrino met with the media on Monday to talk about the upcoming game against Wake Forest. He also recapped the FIU game and gave updates on Will Gardner and L.J. Scott. James Quick and Pio Vatuvei also spoke for a few minutes. These videos are from thecrunchzone.com.
This week on 55………. We talk Cardinal Camo…….YES…..Cardinal Camo. We go over huge upsets and letdown. We go over the wet, wet, win in South Florida and a slew of other great but random things that have happened this week. Glad to have 55 back for you guys after the hiatus last week. Without…
At his weekly press conference, head coach Bobby Petrino updated the status of quarterback Will Gardner. Petrino says that Gardner is very sore and there is swelling. He is meeting with the doctors today. Right now he says he is day to day and they should have more answers possibly tomorrow. But other than that,…
Teddy Bridgewater didn’t have to wait long to become the starter for the Minnesota Vikings. Unfortunately, it comes at the expense of Matt Cassel breaking bones in his foot. You wish it wouldn’t happen like that, but injuries happen in the NFL, and now it is Teddy’s time. Filling in for Cassel on Sunday against…
Anytime a new uniform combination is revealed, there is a lot of feedback, both positive and negative. So in this very unscientific poll, just go ahead and vote for how you feel about the new uniforms that Adidas revealed today. The Cards will wear these against Florida State on October 30.
The AP and USA Today Coaches Poll were released on Sunday. The Cards still aren’t ranked on either, and actually dropped off all together from the AP poll’s “others receiving votes” section. As we know, in the grand scheme of things, the only poll that really matters this season is the College Football Playoff poll…
I must say that the ACC Digital Network is awesome. They put out some great videos very quickly after games. This one is a few highlights of James Quick from Saturday against FIU. The sophomore had 7 catches for 174 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also had 61 yards on punt returns, giving him 235…
Right after the game yesterday, we asked our twitter followers what their initial thoughts were. Most responses seemed pretty consistent. https://twitter.com/MAKcards/status/513480978707542016 https://twitter.com/scottcmonty/status/513481343880429568
Here are highlights from the Louisville-FIU game, along with videos of James Quick’s touchdown and Gerod Holliman’s pick six!
In a game that was overshadowed by a couple key injuries for UofL and an offense that still didn’t light the scoreboard up, there were a couple of positives that came from the performance from the Cards. One of those was James Quick, and the other was the defense. Sophomore James Quick had himself a…
It wasn’t the prettiest game, or even very pretty at all, but the Louisville Cardinals went on the road and defeated Florida International 34-3. The Cards improved to 3-1 on the season, but this win was costly, as quarterback Will Gardner and running back L.J. Scott both left the game injured and did not return….
After starting the 2014 season 2-0, the Cards stumbled last week in Charlottesville as Virginia beat Louisville 23-21. Today, Bobby Petrino and the Cards will try to get back to their winning ways as they face Florida International in Miami. The perfect medicine for a team that struggled so much last week could be a…
