Cardinal News & Notes: Tuesday Afternoon Edition

Football: Tomorrow we will post our exclusive interview with Kyle Bolin. Bolin is UofL’s 2013 Quarterback commit from Lexington Catholic. This will be a good one!

Charlie Strong: June 2nd is the announced date for the women’s clinic. Make sure to “like” Coach Charlie Strong’s Annual Women’s Clinic page on facebook for updates.

Men’s Basketball: The Cards lost a tough one on Monday afternoon. After leading 18-2 to begin the game, UofL let the lead slip away and Marquette won 74-63. This will likely drop the Cards from the Top 25 as they have now lost 5 out of 7 games. Their next game is Saturday at 9 pm. It will be the featured game for ESPN’s College Gameday.

Women’s Basketball: The 18th ranked women’s team (14-4, 3-2) will host Providence (10-8, 2-3) on Wednesday night at 7 pm. This is a big game to keep the Cards in the top half of the conference standings.

Baseball: Reminder that the Baseball Leadoff Dinner will be Feb. 3 in the South Wing of the Kentucky Exposition Center. The featured guests are Andy Pettitte and former Card Trystan Magnuson.

Softball: The Bullpen Club Dinner will be Jan. 28 at the Galt House at 7:30 pm. The featured guest will be two-time Olympic medalist Natasha Watley.

Women’s Tennis: The women’s tennis team will host Morehead State on Wednesday at 2 pm at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
