UofL Baseball makes NCAA Tournament

Before Coach Dan McDonnell took over as head coach of the Cards, UofL Baseball had made the NCAA Tournament only 1 time in its history. Since McDonnell arrived, the Cards have now made the tournament 5 times in 6 seasons, and he has a record of 256-126 in those 6 seasons.

The NCAA Selection Show was Monday afternoon, and the Cards (39-20) were placed in the Tucson Regional. They will be the 3 seed and face 2nd seeded New Mexico State (35-22). The game will be at 7 pm Eastern time and will be shown on ESPN U.

Also in the Tucson Regional are top-seeded Arizona (38-17) and 4th seeded Missouri (32-26). They will face each other around 11 pm on Friday, soon after the UofL-NM St. game.

The regional is a double-elimination format. You can follow UofL Baseball on twitter @UofLBaseball and of course remember to follow us @CardSportsZone.
