Tomorrow night at the Basketball Academy the 2012 Crusade for Children Hardwood Classic will take place. Its the third annual event which pits a team representing the Cards led by Luke Whitehead against a team representing the Cats which will be led by Derek Anderson…a former graduate of Doss High School who chose Ohio St over that one school. Rivalry Week in the state of Kentucky is going strong and now the alumni from the Cats and Cards play in a charity game

(Louisville, KY)  It’s known as one of the biggest rivalries in college basketball, the University of Louisville Cardinals vs. the University of Kentucky Wildcats. Now former Cards and Cats will play to benefit children with disabilities.  It’s the 3rd Annual Hardwood Classic All-Star Game…Cards, Cats, Crusade. 

Former U of L and UK standouts along with local celebrities will participate in the Hardwood Classic on Friday, December 28, 2012 at Basketball Academy, 2401 Stanley Gault Pkwy.  Basketball Academy is co-owned by Charlie Wallace and former Cardinal Terry Howard.  Tip-off for the game is 7:00 p.m. General admission tickets are only $10 in advance and $12 at the door and reserved tickets are $25. They can be purchased at the following locations:  WHAS Television and Crusade for Children offices, 520 West Chestnut Street502-582-7711; Basketball Academy, 2401 Stanley Gault Pkwy and online atwww.crusadeforchildren.com.

Prophet, Former Cardinal Football star Ibn Green,Former MLB player Chris Burke,  Derwin Webb, Jack “Goose” Givens Ellis Myles and Terrance Farley.
