Dec. 30, 2013. Louisville, KY. – Tickets for the 41st annual Kentucky Derby Festival Basketball Classic presented by Papa John’s go on sale TODAY! See future Cats, Cards and Hoosiers at the game set for Friday, April 18, at Freedom Hall.
Tickets, which cost $13 and $18 (includes facility fee), are available at all TicketMaster locations, online at TicketMaster.com, or by phone at (800) 745-3000 or the Freedom Hall Box Office at (502) 367-5144. NEW this year, a limited number of court side VIP tickets are available for $50. Tickets for the game also allow free admission to the Horseshoe Foundation Derby Festival Night of the Future Stars, which will be held on Thursday, April 17, at Floyd Central High School.

First held in 1973, the Kentucky Derby Festival Basketball Classic has featured such players as Jamal Mashburn, Moses Malone, Rex Chapman, Pervis Ellison, Isiah Thomas, Dominique Wilkins, Darrell Griffith, Derek Anderson, Anfernee Hardaway and Michael Beasley, among many others.
Since 1956, the Derby Festival has worked to bring the community together in celebration. The Festival is an independent community organization supported by 4,000 volunteers, 400 businesses and civic groups, Pegasus Pin sponsorships and event participation. This involvement has made the Festival the largest single-attended event in Kentucky and one of the leading community celebrations in the world.
