Recruiting is a crazy thing. Just a couple of weeks ago, the Cards had a commitment from 5-star Antonio Blakeney and had backed off of 6’6 combo guard Perry Dozier. You know the story: Blakeney decommits, and the Cards try to get back in the mix for Dozier. Rick Pitino and Kenny Johnson spent Wednesday evening giving Dozier an in home visit, and it certainly paid off. Dozier had 4 official visits lined up and had 1 more opening, and he will use that for a trip to UofL’s campus.
Had a Great visit with Louisville's coach Pitino and coach Johnson. Great guys!

The good thing about that is the timing of his visit. He will be in town on October 30. If you need a reminder of what is going on in town that day, the football Cards will be hosting Florida State at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium. Pretty nice night to have a big-time recruit in, huh? Also, that will be Dozier’s last official visit, which is also big. If he takes his first four visits and does not commit somewhere, all eyes will be on the Cards for both football and basketball that night.
Dozier’s schedule of official visits: Michigan (this weekend), North Carolina (Oct. 3), Georgetown (Oct. 17), South Carolina (Oct. 24), and Louisville (Oct. 30).
