Now Redwine is Still a Louisville Commit?

Advice: Don’t follow football recruiting too seriously. You are better off just waiting until National Signing Day. If you follow it too much and get too invested in it, you are due for some headaches for sure. Just let us bring you some of the news and you can do with it what you want.

Last night, I posted that cornerback Sheldrick Redwine had decommitted from the Cards, and that this wasn’t a surprise to me at all. Apparently, now that has changed and Redwine is saying that he never decommitted and he plans to sign with Louisville next Wednesday.

Whatever the reason is that he stays with Louisville, if he does, really isn’t a big issue. The main point will be him signing on the dotted line for the Cards. However, for him to say he never did decommit just doesn’t make sense. He definitely tried to commit elsewhere, but that school would not accept the commitment, as they were out recruiting another player. He called multiple times to try to commit and it didn’t work out. Then all of the sudden, he is back with Louisville.

Again, none of that matters next Wednesday if he does sign with UofL. He could end up being a fan favorite in the next couple of years. Who really knows? But for right now, just to think that it “never happened” last night would be naive.

At the end of the day, Go Cards!

  1. He sounded like he didn’t want to be a Card anymore and when he found out nobody wanted him he came back and is now going to sign with the Cards again!
