Press release from Bluebombers.com:
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announced the club has re-signed quarterback Brian Brohm.
Brohm returns for his second season in Winnipeg after being acquired in a trade with Hamilton last offseason. He started one game in 2014, seeing relief duty in three others. Brohm finished 2014 completing 39 of 70 attempts for 454 yards. The 2015 season will be Brohm’s third in the Canadian Football League.
“Continuity, rhythm and familiarity are all very important at the quarterback position,” said Blue Bombers General Manager Kyle Walters. “Brian continues to grow as a quarterback in our league, he is very well respected in our locker room, and most importantly, he’s trusted to go in and succeed when called upon. We are very pleased to have him remain with our organization.”
Brohm was a second round draft pick of the Green Bay Packers in 2008, after playing his collegiate football at Louisville, and finishing as the school’s second-leading passer with 10,775 yards.
