Today is Samaki Walker’s 39th birthday, so it was only fitting to go find this video and post it. I remember being at this game when I was just 8 years old, 8 1/2 if you want to get technical. I have always remembered this score and the date of the game for some reason.
Samaki recorded the first triple-double in Louisville basketball history with 14 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 blocks as Louisville beat #5 Kentucky 88-86 on January 1, 1995. Oh yeah, Samaki was just a freshman.
