This week on 55…..
We talk about everything in the world of Cardinal Athletics. We talk K’s. Kuric, Kelsey and K.Ware. Where will the Cards play and when? We got you covered. We talk the latest episodes of the Cardinal Sports Zone podcasts which you can find at CardinalSportsZone.com/podcast (Cheap Pop). Tonights selection show at 7pm with Perrin and Daryl too. We ask again, what’s next in the ever-changing world of 55? More clues later.
Without further adieu, here are the most ridiculous, outlandish, interesting or just downright obnoxious things I have heard this week. THIS is 55…..
-Tonight at 7 pm at http://www.blogtalkradio.com/csz/2015/03/16/csz-ncaa-tournament-selection-discussion-show-31615 we will host the CardinalSportsZone NCAA Selection show. Steve, the coach, myself and @KyWomenTalkSports own Daryl Foust will break down Louisville’s chances and opponents in the NCAA Tourney. We will also reveal the Women’s opponent as well. Our special guest Perrin Johnson will also join us live. Also you can call in at 914-338-0180 and share your picks and thoughts on the tourney run. Speaking of the Cards….
-The Cards first trip to the ACC Tourney was a forgettable one. After a double bye, the red-hot UNC Tarheels defeated us 70-60 to send us home for the first time since losing to UCONN in the Big east finals in 2011. We started off great and finished awful. That’s all I will say about that game. Thankfully we were selected as a 4 seed in the East Region and will face the UC Irvine Anteaters at 4:15 in Seattle.
For more info on this years tournament visit UofL Basketball Tournament central. It is a really cool site and is a one stop spot for all things postseason Cards. Check it out.

-I’m pretty sure Rutherford was talking junk to me today:

OK, he wasn’t, sorry dude…bro hug
*got my eyes you still*
-On Monday’s, CardinalSportsZone.com UL great Kyle Kuric will be starting up a blog on the site called Kyle’s Korner which should be real good. His first edition dropped this morning. Kyle will be keeping us up to date on his career and personal life overseas. We will be trying to get other former Cards to do something similar in the future. (Kyle’s Korner)
-Reminds me. After last basketball season I got a very strange phone call at 5:45 am. The timing was strange, not the call. My guy Alhaji was calling after his championship win and had something on his mind. “Jeremy, why don’t former Cards have more coverage of what we do overseas” That was a great question. I didn’t have an answer. Talked to Justin about it after that call then we just kinda let it go because we had no response. Hopefully with Kyle starting up this series, more guys that you have come to love will join in and do the same. Shout out to Mo diggety..never forget:
I actually hope to get Alhaji, Peyton, Russ, Preston, Sosa and SVT to do this for us in the future. Stay Tuned…

The new polls just came out and they rose two spots. WOW!. They host Vandy on Wednesday and head to Blacksburg to take on Va Tech on Saturday as part of a 4 game road slate including Longwood, #7 Northwestern & American. After Vandy the Cards don’t return home until April 4th when they take on #2 UNC. Then they travel to #8 Virginia, host #5 Syracuse then travel to #17 ND.
