Cards in the NBA Summer League Update: Wednesday morning

Yesterday was a pretty eventful day for former Louisville Cardinals in the NBA Summer League. Russ Smith hit a game winning shot against Peyton Siva’s team, and Terry Rozier led the Celtics in scoring. Not a bad day. Here are the stats…

Russ Smith – Memphis Grizzlies

Russ scored 20 points on 9-12 shooting and was 2-3 from the three point line. He added 3 assists, 3 rebounds, 2 steals, and only 1 turnover. He hit a late three to send the game into overtime, and then hit the game winning shot in sudden death.

Through three games, Russ is averaging 14 points, 6 assists, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.7 steals per game. Their next game is Thursday at 5:00 against Oklahoma City.

Peyton Siva – Orlando Magic Blue

Siva started yesterday’s game against the Grizzlies and played nearly 32 minutes. He had 7 points, 7 assists, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, and 6 turnovers. He was 2-7 from the field, 0-4 from three, and 3-3 from the foul line.

Their next game is Thursday at 1:00 against the Indiana Pacers.

Terry Rozier – Boston Celtics

Not only did Rozier lead the Celtics in scoring with 14 points, he was the leading scorer in the game between both the Celtics and 76ers. He also had 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 2 turnovers. He struggled with his shot as he was 4-11 from the field and 0-3 from the three point line, but he was 6-7 from the free throw line.

The Celtics play Thursday at 7:00 against the San Antonio Spurs, where Wayne Blackshear plays.

Wayne Blackshear – San Antonio Spurs

Wayne played a little less than 10 minutes on Tuesday night. He scored 2 points, had 1 rebound, and 1 assists. He was 1-5 from the field and 0-2 from three.

They face the Celtics on Thursday at 7:00.

Earl Clark – Brooklyn Nets

Clark started for the Nets but played less than 11 minutes. He scored 4 points and grabbed 3 rebounds. He was 2-6 from the field and 0-2 from three.

The Nets play Thursday at 3:00 against Orlando White.

Montrezl Harrell – Houston Rockets

The Rockets begin play Friday at 10:00 p.m.
