LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Trey Lewis, who was a graduate transfer guard for one year at the University of Louisville last season, will play for the Cleveland Cavaliers’ NBA Summer League team, which begins play on July 8 in Las Vegas.
Lewis, who hails from Cleveland, started in the Cardinals backcourt for his lone season in Louisville last year as the Cardinals posted a 23-8 record and ranked 16th in the final Associated Press poll. He was second on the Cardinals’ team in scoring (11.3 ppg), assists (2.3 apg) and three-pointer goals (46).
A tri-captain and an All-ACC Academic team selection, he made a three-pointer in 23 of 31 games and at least two in 14 games. He scored 1,514 career points in his collegiate career, including his stints at Penn State and Cleveland State.
