The Cards made the travel up to Bloomington, Indiana to take on the Hoosiers. Led by strong pitching and strong bats the Cards were victorious. Nicole Pufahl single in the top 3rd let the Cards jump out to 1-0 lead.
Sidney Melton’s single in the top of the 4th made the Cards lead 4-0. The Hoosiers answered in the 5th with two runs & 1 run in the 6th. This put the score at 4-3. Blaire Bass in the top of 7th started a 7 running inning for the Cards. The Cards went into the bottom 7th the Hoosiers answer with 4 runs but couldn’t find enough to catch the Cards.
Freshman Danielle Watson picked her up her 14th win of the season while pitching 3 innings in relief giving up only 2 earned runs & 2 hits. This win over the Hoosiers moves to Cards to 28-14 on the season.
Up Next: They will travel tomorrow to play Florida State in Tallahassee on Friday.
