Robert Hicks Removes Name From Transfer Portal

Louisville vs Wake Forest 2018 (28 of 75)

After entering his name in the transfer portal about 2 weeks ago, Sophomore Robert Hicks has withdrawn his name and will remain a Cardinal.

It’s unclear why he initially entered the portal but popular opinion is that he didn’t like being moved from linebacker to defensive end.

In my opinion, this is huge for the defense. The former 4* recruit could be counted on to be a major contributor and quite possibly a starter.

Per GoCards.com – 2018: Played in nine games with one start …  finished first season with 24 tackles and 2.0 tackles for loss … inserted at linebacker in the season-opening loss to Alabama … made first start against Western Kentucky, leading the team with 11 tackles and registering his first sack … totaled four tackles in his second start versus Georgia Tech … credited with four tackles versus Boston College … recorded two tackles versus Clemson and Kentucky.
