Nwora was arguably UofL’s best player last year after being used sparingly his freshman year. The 6’7 forward averaged 17 points and 7.6 rebounds per game last year for the Cards. Nwora shot 44.6% from the field and 37.4% from beyond the arc per gocards.com.
His improvements in both points and rebounds per game earned Nwora the honor of being named the ACC’s Most Improved Player. He earned 3rd Team All-ACC honors as well.
Having Nwora back makes UofL one of the deepest and most talented teams in the country. Nwora provides proven scoring punch and defensive rebounding. It can be surmised that, with another summer under Coach Mack’s tutelage, he will likely make more improvements to his game and be a leading contender for ACC Player of the Year.
UofL will likely start out next year as a top 10 team; probably a top 5 team. Jordan Nwora is a proven, high level player that instantly makes UofL a contender to end up in Atlanta for the Final Four. Next year will be a fun one for UofL Basketball with Jordan Nwora back to lead the Cards.
