On July 3rd, former UK quarterback Jared Lorenzen passed away after suffering from an infection that complicated his kidney and heart issues. WHAS 11 shared the news yesterday that former UofL football players are stepping up in big ways to help pay for his funeral. Jamon Brown, Chris Redman and Deion Branch are all chipping in to help his family during this tough time. No matter how heated the rivalry can get at times, at the end of the day, it is just a game. These guys continue to make us proud UofL fans.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Lorenzen’s family and friends as they lay him to rest, entirely too early. A celebration of his life will be tomorrow (Wednesday, July 10th) from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Saint Pius X Church in Edgewood, Kentucky.
