Louisville Football won a heart stopping game last Saturday against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. The offense went up and down the field all game and the kick return game had two huge returns including one for a TD in a 62-59 victory.
Two of the key players in the Cards victory earned some ACC weekly accolades. Freshman QB Evan Conley earned ACC Rookie of the Week and ACC QB of the Week honors. Meanwhile, sophomore RB and KR Hassan Hall earned ACC Specialist of the Week.
Conley came into the Wake Forest game in relief of an injured Micale Cunningham. He completed 12 of 18 passes for 196 yards and 2 TDs. He rushed for 79 yards and a TD as well.
Meanwhile, Hassan Hall returned one kickoff for a 100 yard TD and returned another kickoff for 83 yards as well. In total, Hall had 4 returns for 220 yards which was an average of 55 yards per return.
