Tyler Haycraft Signs With The New York Giants

On Saturday Night after the NFL Draft, Louisville’s own Tyler Haycraft signed a rookie free agent deal with New York Giants. Tyler is coming off a tremendous senior year where he was a captain and helped lead the Cardinals to a bowl for the first time since 2017. He helped his hometown Cards win the Music City Bowl which, coincidentally, was UofL’s first bowl victory since the 2015 Music City Bowl.

Haycraft went from being a walk on to a scholarship player. He became the starting RT for UofL in 2019. The St. Xavier product proved to be a stalwart on the offensive line. With First Rounder Mekhi Becton anchoring the left side, Haycraft anchored the right.

As part of the offensive line, he helped Louisville produce its first thousand yard running back since Bilal Powell in 2010. Javian Hawkins rushed for 1525 yards and 9 TDs. Haycraft was a durable and reliable part of Scott Satterfield’s and Dwayne Ledford’s first offensive line.

Now he joins his former teammate in New York. He will be wearing Giant blue rather than Jet green, however. Congrats to Louisville’s own Tyler Haycraft. Hopefully, he can work his way onto the 53 man roster as he worked his way from walk on to scholarship starter at UofL.
