38 – 24 – UofL comes out hot, hot, hot. Offense is clicking on all cylinders and defense is holding steady, we go into halftime with a comfy lead. But WKU isn’t giving up and comes out blazing in the second half. Having more depth on defense pays off because we hold the Hilltoppers (whatever that even is) off and we start the season 1-0.
Mitch Motley
47 – 10 – Louisville builds on last year’s season with a throttling of the in-state Toppers. Micale only plays the first 3 quarters but posts 4 touchdowns and 300+ yards. Javian and Tutu both go over 100 yards with a few scores between them.
Shawn Barbour
49 –24 Cards.
Sam Basden
53 – 17 – Louisville comes out of the gate fast and strong. Louisville has two players rush for more than 100 yards and the new found depth on defense help keep the Hilltoppers from putting up much points on the scoreboard.
TJ Barr
42 – 17 Cards.
Dalton Pence
52 – 21 Cards.
Justin Krueger
38 – 21 – Same score, different year. Micale Cunningham should have a bigger game this time around, Hawkins will have another 100-yard game to start 2020. How Louisville’s defense performs in this game will likely foreshadow next week v. Miami.
