Chance Morrow is a WR from Charlotte, NC and chose the Cards over offers from Miami, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Virginia Tech, and Old Dominion. Wide Receivers Coach Gunter Brewer was Morrow’s primary recruiter. He was offered by UofL in May 4th, camped at UofL on June 14th, and officially visited just this weekend.
During last season for West Charlotte High School, Chance Morrow had 33 receptions for 755 yards and 12 TDs, according to phenomhoopreport.com. That averages out to a whopping 23 yards per reception. The touchdowns are equally impressive when you take into account he had only 33 total receptions.
Chance Morrow Highlights
You can view Chance’s highlights above for yourself. Below is a little summary of what Chance will bring to the Cards from our visitor list post earlier. Stay tuned to CSZ for a more detailed breakdown of his game from our staff.
Gifted with incredible size, strength, and athleticism, Chance Morrow is a WR dripping with potential. He’s got good speed that allows him to run past DBs and get open on go routes. Speaking of routes, he’s a good route runner that can get clean releases running slants, out routes, and posts. His hands are excellent and his physical nature allows him to make contested catches on jump balls and on balls thrown over the middle. He’s a good, strong blocker too. Morrow has a lot of qualities the UofL staff covets and he will bring a big threat on the outside, especially in the red zone.
Chance Morrow is a big WR that has a legit offer sheet. He’s a playmaker and game breaker. When he arrives on campus, whoever the QB is, he will be his best friend. Morrow will be a guy the QB can just throw it up and know for certain that he’s coming down with it. He’s a unique talent that, to be honest, the closest comparisons I have for him are Mario Urrutia and Devante Peete. However, his speed, in all honesty, is on another level. Great pickup by the staff.
That’s now 4 commitments for FlyVille22. The class is currently ranked 85th nationally and 14th in the ACC per 247sports. However, Morrow has no rankings yet. Once he’s ranked by 247, I think those rankings will go way up as I would guess Morrow ends up a high 3 Star or 4 Star.
