The University of Louisville hosted Louisville Live at Churchill Downs on Saturday night. Fans were introduced to the Women’s and Men’s Basketball teams for the 2021-22 season. The Women’s team competed in a skills competition and a 3-Point contest. The Men’s team participated in a 3-Point contest and a dunk contest.
The 1986 National Championship team was honored and several more recent alumni were brought out. Angel McCoughtry helped Maria Taylor host for the night. Ryan McMahon, David Johnson, Luke Hancock and Reece Gaines were in attendance to welcome back Montrezl Harrell, who helped Darrell Griffith judge the dunk contest.
