A month ago I didn’t think there was a chance for the Cards to win at Carter–Finley Stadium. But as I see the Cards get better I give them a very realistic chance IF they are more aggressive offensively on 1st and 2nd downs because State is only allowing opponents to convert less than 27% of their third down conversions. That said, I feel the Cards fall just short. For whatever reason, State makes this game their Super Bowl.

I’m looking forward to Louisville having an impressive game on the road and winning their 2nd consecutive game. NC State is good, they are physical, but the Cards showed last week that when dialed in on defense they can make life tough on the opposing offense. Cards win a close one 35-27, the defense does just enough for the Cards to leave Raleigh with a win.

The environment at NC State has given UofL fits in the recent past. The Cards get back to their scoring ways and break the 30-point mark again. The defense continues with their aggressive style that they used against BC, but NC State makes them pay with a few big plays. Cards lose another heartbreaker.
