CSZ Staff Predictions: Louisville vs Syracuse

Jeremy Wahman

(5-4)*

Louisville 30 – Syracuse 28

Syracuse is a rush heavy team, We need to continue to keep up the intensity on our rush defense as well. The Cards find a way to squeak out the Win on Lamar Jackson nooner day. 30-28 last second FG for the win.

Jeff Nunn

(6-3)

Louisville 31 – Syracuse 24

Louisville takes another lead into the 4th quarter but this time they get a field goal to break the 4th quarter scoring drought. The defense makes a huge stop to secure the game.

Higgy

(7-2)

Louisville 35 – Syracuse 21

Defense plays just like Clemson defense that came to play. Malik gets 2TDs through the air & 2 on the ground!

Ben Gumbel

(7-2)

Louisville 30 – Syracuse 17

Dalton Pence

(5-4)

Louisville 35 – Syracuse 31

The Cards go up against one of the nation’s best rushing attacks led by Garrett Shrader and Sean Tucker, and have been solid in defending the runs in weeks past. This game will be won in the trenches, and I’m saying Louisville gets it done, but I don’t feel comfortable with it.

Jacob Pratt

(5-4)

Louisville 38 – Syracuse 21

Louisville finally has a complete game with Malik passing for 3 TDs and rushing for 1.

Sam Basden

(5-4)

Louisvillle 42 – Syracuse 17

Everything in me is saying not to trust the coaching staff and that Syracuse wins this game. On Lamar day though, I’m going with my Heart…Louisville wins this game 42-17 and the Louisville defense continues to get better week after week.

Mitch Motley

(6-3)

Syracuse 31 – Louisville 27

The Orange take advantage of Lamar being honored instead of suiting up. Cards lose a tough one on Saturday to a solid Syracuse team.

Shawn Barbour

(5-4)

Louisville  35 – Syracuse 17

The Cards are in need of a win. 7-5 is still attainable, recruiting is showing signs of life, and Lamar will be in the house. Some believe the noon kick and cold weather will have the team sleepwalking. I believe the bitter taste left in their mouths after the heartbreaking loss to Clemson galvanizes the football Cards. Malik has a big day, with 300 total yards (if he’s truly healthy) and the defense stifles that Syracuse rushing attack and forces them to pass more than they want. This will result in one or two interceptions. Cards will win comfortably and finally show progress in stopping the fourth quarter woes as I think they will hold Syracuse to just a field goal (Please God let me be right this once).

Hive

(4-4)

Louisville 31 – 17 Syracuse

Cards get a desperately needed win in front of Lamar Jackson and look good while doing it.
