UofL is 7-1 and has beaten 2 ranked opponents at home in Notre Dame and Duke. It’s the first time since last season the Cards have been ranked in the poll. It’s the second time they’ve been ranked 13th, the first time being the 2016 season. Louisville is one of two ACC teams currently ranked. Undefeated Florida State is the other team. They are currently ranked 4th.

If Louisville should win out, there is an outside chance at a playoff spot. While the chances are slim, they are not none. Their next chance to improve their ranking comes this weekend when the Cards face the Virginia Tech Hokies with sole possession of 2nd place in the ACC on the line.
