Friday night Louisville held it’s annual Spring football game that concludes spring practice. Your next chance to see the Cards play will be on Aug. 31 at L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium against Austin Peay.
Final sore of the Spring Game was Offense 45- Defense 37.
My takes on the Spring game are that if you were wondering who would be QB1 on opening day, you should rest easy knowing Tyler Shough will be the man. He was clearly the best QB on the field. Shough was 8-of-12, throwing for 177 yards and two touchdowns. Clarkson looked pretty good as well going 9-of-14 for 117 yards and one touchdown.
Chris Bell looks to be much improved and could be a huge factor in a deep wide receiver room. Bell totaled 126 yards and two touchdowns.
It was awesome seeing Nick Keller hit a 57 yard field goal.
You may already know this but Quincy Riley is good…. Really Really good!
Stanquann Clark is going to be a problem. Dude is a stud. Watching him grow this season is going to be fun.
The running back room is deep so expect several players to get lots of touches this season. Ride the hot back. Penny Boone may have made a mistake leaving.
