The Cards got WVU today after the Mountaineers upset #3 Gonzaga yesterday. Today the Cards struggled early offensively before mountain several runs of 7-0 or more. Cards wer down 11 with a few minutes left in the first had but one of those BOOMs happened and we were down 4 at the half.
WVU came out after the half & extended the lead. Multiple times in the second half we would cut it down to 3 or 4 & WVU hit a contested 3 to push out the lead again. Chucky had a chance with 30 seconds left to hit 2 free throws and win the game but he missed one, his only mistake of the game. The Cards took over in OT & never looked back. WVU got within 3 once & that was it. The Cards win 79-70 in OT.
Chucky had 32 points, 6 steals and drew 13 fouls. Reyne added 15 on 4-10 shooting from the three. Fatt added 10 points & 7 rebounds. Kasean had 13 & 8 rebounds as well. The thing i have seen improve the most during the season so far is the hustle & Defensive rebounding. The Cards have won 2 games in the Bahamas & i am not sure many people thought that would happen. We thought it could but had been burnt so many times in the past.
