The first official College Football Playoff (CFP) rankings have been revealed and Louisville sits just outside the top 12 at #15. If we are being honest, that seems about right. There are a few rankings that are open for discussion like a #10 Notre Dame team, who has 2 losses and lost to a team Louisville beat, as well as an Oregon team who has ZERO ranked wins with a similar SOR to Louisville but yet gets ranked at #9. Both Notre Dame and Oregon are good teams and are deserving of a top 15 ranking but looking at the statistics used by the CFP, they are not 5 and 6 spots better than Louisville.
But this is just the first rankings and everything will work itself out. While these topics are great for discussion and debate, I’m not gonna waste a lot of time arguing anymore with Notre Dame fans who think they share the greatest team of all time.
